Drunk driving, Hilliard Blvd.

On Sept. 11 at 6:30 pm a possible drunk driver was reported near Interstate 90. The caller said the suspected driver pulled into the Shell gas station. Officers determined that both cars were exiting the highway. The first car was stopped at the light, but not pulled up far enough to actuate the signal so the driver of the second car sounded his horn and motioned to pull forward. The driver and passenger of the first car exited their car and approached the driver of the first car and pushed and hit the other. After further investigation, the driver of the first car, a 43-year-old Cleveland woman, was arrested for drunk driving, endangering children (a child passenger in the car), and obstructing official business. The passenger, an 18-year-old Cleveland man, was arrested for assault. The child passenger was turned over to a sober adult and the Department of Children Services was notified. There were no injuries.
