Netflix announced on Thursday that its hit fantasy drama series “The Witcher” would return for its third season with several new cast members, including actor Meng’er Zhang from “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”

Meng’er Zhang played Shang-Chi’s estranged younger sister Xialing in the Marvel moviewowing crowds with her powerful moves and fierce determination to survive at all costs.

“The Witcher” series, which is based on Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski’s books by the same name, follows the journey of monster-hunter Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill, and his quest to serve as crown princess Ciri of Cintra’s protector.

It appears that Zhang’s masterful action moves will be showcased once more in the upcoming season of “The Witcher” as she embodies expert archer Milva.

Also cast were Hugh Skinner (from “Fleabag”), Robbie Amell (from “Upload”) and Christelle Elwin (from “Half Bad”).

Netflix also released an official description of the upcoming new season: “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever. ”

Netflix has yet to reveal “The Witcher” Season 3’s release date; however, production began earlier this month on April 4 according to series’ official Twitter account.
