Stronghold Insurance vows aggressive non-life business – Manila Bulletin

Stronghold Insurance Co. Inc. vowed to be aggressive in the non-life insurance business in the country on the back of its strong financial position despite the pandemic-induced economic crisis.

In a statement, Romulo De los Reyes, Stronghold president, said on Monday, Sept. 19, that they want to remain on top of the local insurance industry with strong paid-up capital amounting to P1.5 billion and more than P2.3 billion net worth.

According to De los Reyes, Stronghold, which has been in the business for 62 years, continued to observe an annual increase in the number of clients, corporate companies, and individuals despite the crisis.

“Stronghold was able to create a name in the insurance industry as a dependable provider of various non-life insurance coverages, or for losses incurred from a specific financial event,” De los Reyes said. “Fire, Motor, Marine, Casualty and Suretyship are among their lines.”

“The 62-year-old firm was able to withstand the financial effects of the huge losses due to natural causes that struck the Philippines through the settlement of legitimate claims filed with the company,” he added.

Stronghold has established several branches in key cities in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Meanwhile, De los Reyes said that Stronghold tapped Filipino broadcaster Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna as its very first celebrity endorser.

He cited Taberna’s excellent credibility rating and impressive achievements as one of the country’s most respected and trusted journalist as among the factors that prompted Stronghold to tap him as an endorser.

The firm believes that Taberna is the personality that completely represents their aim to be the top non-life insurance company in the country.

During the official contract signing, Taberna encouraged Filipinos to acquire non-life insurance from Stronghold. “Doon tayo sa #SubokNa,” he said.

Taberna also said he was thankful for the opportunity to endorse Stronghold as he represents a stronger brand after his career, business, and even his family were put to the test due to the coronavirus pandemic.
