SurreyLive has scoured the job sites and found seven of the most interesting roles that are currently available either in the county or a commutable distance away. All of these have advertised salaries at £ 25,000 or higher, and do not specify that they require qualifications beyond GCSE level.

Aircraft Fueller at Heathrow Airport

Swissport Recruitment is urgently seeking people to help with fuelling and de-fuelling aircraft at Heathrow. The role also involves driving the fuelling vehicles, and carrying out safety inspections on equipment.

Police Community Support Officer

The Metropolitan Police are looking for Police Community Support Officers to help with their operations across London. Responsibilities can include providing support at ceremonial and special events, responding to major incidents and security alerts and making house-to-house inquiries.

Prisons Careers Adviser at HMP Downview

Education charity CXK is looking for a careers adviser to support prisoners by ensuring they have a structured pathway of education, work and training during their stay in custody. The role involves conducting interviews with prisoners, and providing high quality impartial careers advice and guidance.

You need Maths and English GCSE grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent), plus excellent communication skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office. The role could be full-time or part-time, and the full-time salary starts at £ 25,881. Read the full job advert here.

Air Charter Service is looking for a trainee broker to help book private jets and helicopters for clients ranging from film stars to musicians, and from sporting stars and high-ranking execs. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills and be flexible in your working hours, but the job advert does not include the need for specific qualifications.

University College Hospital in London is searching for a receptionist at its brand new Grafton Way Building. The successful applicant will be part of a team of 10 reception / ward administrators and will rotate through the five Haematology wards, front of house reception and Imaging reception.

RTS School of Motoring in London are looking for an excellent driver with great interpersonal skills to become a driving instructor. You’ll also need basic vehicle maintenance skills and an ability to stay calm in emergency situations.

Emergency Ambulance Crew for St John Ambulance

St John Ambulance is looking for crew members to work alongside senior nurses and doctors, transferring some of London’s most vulnerable patients. The emergency side of the service provides 24/7 cover for stabilizing newborn babies and transferring them to specialist units.

You will need to be educated to GCSE level and should have a minimum of 12 months driving experience, with a full UK driving license that has a maximum of three penalty points.
