Two face theft-related charges in separate cases News, Sports, Jobs

Jess R. Moore, 47, of Coatesville, Chester County, faces charges of theft of leased property, theft and receiving stolen property for failing to return scaffolding and casters that he rented last October from Grand Rental Station, 1801 Lycoming Creek Road, Old Lycoming Township police alleged. The items were to be returned in December, police said, adding that Moore did provide the business with a credit card to cover costs for additional months, but in January, the card was canceled.

Grand Rental Station suffered a loss of in excess of $1,700, police said.

In the other case, when Mary Louise Wagner found another woman’s credit card on Lycoming Creek Road, she freely walked into the Dollar General Store, 2034 Lycoming Creek Road, on June 24 and charged $149 worth of items on the card, Old Lycoming Township police alleged in court papers.

Wagner, 46, of 139 Stony Gap Road, Cogan Station, admitted using the card, telling the officer she “knew it was wrong, but money has been tight,” according to a police affidavit. The card belonged to Beverly Danley.

Wagner has been charged with access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property. She and Moore have each been sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
