Peacock’s Comedy series, Rutherford Fallsfirst premiered on the streaming service in April 2021. Since its debut, it has become a popular show and is known for its Native American representation on screen and with the creative team.
The show has five Native Writers including Sierra Teller Ornelas (Navajo), Thailand Leclaire (Kanien’kehá: ka [Mohawk Nation]/ Mi’kmaq), Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux), Tazbah Chavez (Bishop Paiute / Diné / San Carlos Apache), Dash Turner (Yurok) and Azie Dungey (Pamunkey).
The Comedy was created by Teller Ornelas, Michael Schur, and actor Ed Helms who also stars as the main character, Nathan Rutherford. The series’ cast also includes Jana Schmieding as Reagan Wells, Michael Greyeyes as Terry Thomas, Jesse Leigh as Bobbie Yang, and Dustin Milligan as Josh Carter.

What is Rutherford Falls about?
The sitcom’s first season takes us to a small town where we meet Lifelong friends Nathan and Reagan. The pair’s relationship is tested when the Mayor of their community decides to move a statue of Nathan’s ancestor.
The leader of the community decides to do this because car drivers keep crashing into it. While Nathan goes on a journey to try and keep the statue in its place, Reagan ends up having to juggle Loyalty to her friend and to her people, the Minishonka Nation.
What is Rutherford Falls season 2 about?
If you’re already caught up on the first season, then you might be wondering what season 2 entails. The five main cast members are back for the sophomore season.
Season 2 inside the best buds help each other tackle work, romance, and major changes to their small town and the Native American reservation it borders. These changes are initiated by Terry Thomas, CEO of Tribal Casino.
